Please note that, while we’re primarily interested in military police gun confiscation incidents taking place in New York State, we’re also interested in learning about similar incidents experienced by lawful gun owners all across the United States.
Several states have gun control laws that are far more restrictive than those at the federal level. 2AWNY.COM is interested in learning about instances in which military police have detained, at military base entrances, gun owners who lawfully own a firearm in their home state and consistent with federal law, and then turned said gun owners over to state police for prosecution under unconstitutional state gun control statutes. The above scenario is illegal as federal troops do not have the constitutional authority to directly participate in the enforcement of civilian gun control imperial edicts.
Due to the time required to assess complex legal issues, we may not be able to respond timely if you submit a gun confiscation incident report associated with a tight legal deadline.
